SUMMARY:Spring Area Clergy Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Spring Area Clergy Meeting\nSchedule.  The first 30 minutes will be a time of fellowship and sharing updates from the District Office.  That will be followed by two hours of continuing education (see below).  Two contact hours (0.2 CEU's) will be provided for those attending.  After the morning and afternoon sessions\, you are invited to continue the fellowship and sharing as we go out for a meal together as your schedule allows. \n\nContinuing Education. Laurie Peel\, LPCC will be speaking on behalf of the company Family Peace\, LLC whose mission is to education clergy\, lay leader and congregations about domestic violence end empower them to minister to all members of the family\, victims\, abusers and children. Laurie grew up in the Kent (Water St.) Church of the Brethren and is now a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor working for healing within families.\n\nLaurie shares "Domestic violence tears apart individuals and families\, but it does not have to happen. If the choice to abuse changes\, the violence stops. Churches can be instrumental in enacting that change."   \n\nWe appreciate Laurie's willingness to provide us with specific ways to bring the healing power of Christ into difficult situations.
